First, I have been ordered by my father that I am not to go into labor until December 3rd. He's heading down to their winter home to check things out and won't be back until then. I told him he'll have to take that up with his grandson since he's the one who's in charge at this point. ![]()
Second, I found out DH's aunt is going to be in town for "Christmas" around the 14th of December. And she will, obviously, want to meet her new great nephew. I'll be at most 2 weeks post-partum at that point. There's a good chance that I might not even be induced until then, should that be the case (I'd be 11 days past my EDD on the 14th). But whatever happens we're stuck between the decision of driving 40 minutes to the ILs with a very new baby or hosting them here. I'm less than thrilled about that but not much I can do. ![]()
Re: More family curveballs
We are in a very similar position. ?All of this and it will be the heart of flu season
Uggh, everyone wants to give you their timeline! I know how that feels. All three sets of parents have traveled/are traveling out of state during the ten days surrounding Thanksgiving and I am supposed to wait! : -)
I guess I'd go with the hosting rather than traveling but can you set some guidelines by talking to your MIL maybe? Like can you limit the visit to just an hour or something?
