Apparently they WEREN'T contractions

Labor?  Contractions?  Not so much

Called the answering service, explained they were coming 4-8 minutes consistently apart.  The on-call OB told me to go to L&D.  Went and they strapped me on to the monitors.  Baby was all over the place, so much so they couldn't get the thingie on his heartbeat, lol.  But alas, the contraction line was as STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW.  I was so frustrated and irritated with myself.  The in-house doc checked me and I am still 1-freaking-centimeter dilated.   They checked me for a UTI (negative) and sent me home after 3 hours.  I came home and caught a few Zzzz's but I am still exhausted.

So now I guess I know what contractions DON'T feel like, or contractions are more extreme then what I was feeling.  I felt like such an idiot for going in.  I think the house doctor was surprised that the on-call OBGYN had me come in at all and didn't just tell me to drink some water and lay on my side.

Don't worry about it, it's better to be safe than sorry!  (and based off you're experience I'm going to assume my "contractions" are nothing also lol they most likely are BH for me anwyays)

I am feeling your frustration.  I'm having a mixture of BH and painful contrax.  Do I time them all or just the painful ones?  And a little while ago, the painful ones were practically one on top of the other prompting me to call my mom to ask her to come stay with DS.... but then I ate some lunch and sat down and rested and they have pretty much stopped now.  So WTH?  So annoying.
