So, a few days ago I posted about disagreeing with the dashed CH's that FF gave me on CD12. Because of CM & CP, I think that I O'd on CD14. I was playing around with some things today and decided to try all the different modes for analysis to see how they varied. All of them stayed the same as the Advanced mode until I tried Research mode - it gave me solid CH's on CD14.
Anyway, my question is this: What mode do you, personally, use on FF? Does one tend to agree with you more than others? Just curious. ![]()
Thanks!
Re: FF: Research vs. Advanced mode?
I've been doing the tutorials, and just read about the different modes in Lesson 13 - Interpreting Your Chart.
This is what it said about research mode:
This detector includes new patterns and improvements as we find them. With time and testing, we roll new findings into the advanced detector when appropriate. You should use this detector only if you wish to check for enhancements that are not yet rolled into the advanced detector.
It sounds like a beta version of the advanced detector. It is possible that they have added something to their algorithm that would give you CH for a different date, which may apply to your case. I think if I were in your position, I'd check the advanced vs. research mode interpretations for several cycles to see which one best lined up with your personal interpretation.
I've only just started charting, so I still have it on advanced mode and there's nothing really to interpret... Good luck!
