team green?

It seems to me everyone is finding out the gender of their baby, even my friends around here (and they're not technically allowed to tell here).

We will not be finding out early, we are waiting until the big day.

Who else here is not finding out?  Who are my team green buddies?

Re: team green?

  • We are going team green and everyone thinks we are crazy.  Our families were trying to get us to change our minds on Thanksgiving.  I think it will be so great to find out when the baby is born.

  • We're team green too. I've never had any desire to find out beforehand.

  • We are team green.  Frankly, I'm just so stinking excited to be pregnant that I hardly even think about if it's a boy or a girl.  I'm just thrilled to pieces to even have a baby in there.  I'm sure I'll get anxious to find out closer to the end.

  • I'm team green.  We found out for our first and decided then we would wait to find out for anymore children.  Its going to be hard but I can't wait for the suprise at the end!

  • We're team green until the shower, which will be around 30-32 weeks, where it will be revealed by us!
  • Remember that you want that sheer beautiful moment where the hysteria is overtaking everything, and all of a sudden someone shouts "It's a...".  You want everyone to be on pins and needles on facebook the day that you go on labor, everyone that will be watchful to be the first to know...

And if anything, you don't want 1) the disastrous and obligatory and ugly gender specific clothes that will abound in blue or pink that will come in your shower with sayings like "Princess" or "Does this diaper make my butt look big" (barf), followed by the progression of "So what are you naming it"...

Team Green, Hells Yeah!  (sing to Team America World Police's song...)

All of this exactly. The crazy gendered clothes are one of the biggest reasons we are Team Green!

  • We're team green.  Most of our friends where we live think we're nuts, the ones I grew up with have all been team green.  We're excited for the surprise and the build up.
  • we are Team Green too. I was feeling like we where the only ones out there not finding out. Everyone now a days find out and ask me if I am finding out. We never did with our DS and said it would be the same way if we had anymore. It is the best after all that time to hear what your sweet baby is. The only think that I hate is I am having a very hard time finding stuff that would be good for a boy or girl.
  • I am very impatient so I don't think I could be team green.

  • I've never wanted to find out the gender and our ultrasound is tomorrow so as long as we stay strong tomorrow we'll be in the clear.  I'm a NICU nurse and attend a lot of deliveries.  There is definitely a different vibe in the room when people don't know the gender.

Someone gave me a great idea the other day for buying clothes.  Make two shopping bags online right before you deliver and then order them right after the baby is born, the clothes will be delivered by the time you're home from the hospital.

  • We're team green!  We were team green for DS and really enjoyed it.

  • We're team green too - I think this is one of life's true surprises and being our first, we really want it to be a surprise for all of us. To get my DH to agree, I had to compromise and any future kids, we'll find out the sex.

I am a L&D nurse and it is this thought that reminds me why I am team green!
