Prefold question

I am a newbie at CD and just starting out my stash.  We are planning on using prefolds & covers for the newborn phase.  I have read people rave about the GMD prefolds, but does anyone have an opinion about Diaper-Rite Prefolds?  Diaperjunction.com has diaper rite prefolds newborn-unbleached for $1.40 each.  Is this a good price for a pre-fold?  Would you recommend I buy the GMD prefolds instead or maybe 1 dozen of each kind to compare?

I LOVE my diaper rite prefolds from diaper junction. I did the package that had 24 prefolds and 4 bummis super whisper wraps and I love it. I ordered the purple edge size small since my first baby was a big boy. They were pretty bulky right away, but I had a newborn white edge to compare them to, and I don't think he would have fit in those for longer than 2 weeks. I love the purple edge now, but prefer my thirsties covers to my bummis covers.

They are really absorbant and wash up really nice, no stains at all. I also loved my kl0's at the begining, meconium poo never stained any of them!

I love diaper rite prefolds.  i started out with half gmds and diaper rites and couldn't tell the difference besides stitching color.  now i just use diaper rites for pfs.  they are cheaper, and i usually get free shipping. 

Diaper junction also has covers on sale right now - i just ordered 24 meds and 4 thirsties covers for 80 and got free shipping, plus a freebie package.  they usually have good deals if you sign up for their mailing list.

Thanks ladies!  So far in my cart I have 24 prefolds, 4 thirsties diaper covers and 2 snappis (and a free gift w/ purchase) for $83.  I also have purchased 2 blueberry covers and 6 BG 4.0 (but i don't expect those to fit right away).
