Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Really, DH?!

I clipped Roman's nails and on accidentally knicked his little finger and he started to bleed a little. DH asked why R was in new clothes and I said that he grabbed his shirt and got some blood on it. He then proceeds to tell me "Again?! You need to stop doing that"... Yes, I'm intentionally doing it Confused

So I challenged DH and told him from now on he can clip Roman's nails and it has to be done every week if not more. DH couldn't believe it, he didn't know babies nails grew so quick.

Ughh.... I don't like how sometimes men can be unappreciative when you do one thing wrong...

  • Also, if you clip the edge and then tear them across it's a lot safer.

  • My DH used to get mad at me when I cut our sons nails so he clipped them and made him bleed at the age of 4 so I do not think he will say anything about me cutting DDs nails.

  • ughhh! That would be so frustrating.

I always tell my DH if I do something like that, it must be out of guilt.. I feel like by not telling him, I am making myself out to be a perfect mommy lol! But he usually calms me down, and never makes me feel bad. Maybe its because he has two kids so he KNOWS that LO will be just fine, and have many more accidents!

I think your DH will get better with that stuff as R gets older, especially once he has his first moment like that!

  • I just bite them off...odd I know, but it feels a lot safer than using a sharp instrument to get them off. They are so thin, they don't need a lot of force at all.
