We were having a hard time figuring out how we wanted to spill the beans... my family all exchanges Christmas lists on Thanksgiving, so I made ours and at the bottom I put maternity shirts. I gave the a list to my mom and grandma, and just sat there waiting for them to get to the bottom.
It felt like it took them FOREVER to get there, but finally my grandma said "maternity shirts?! who needs those?" To which my mom looked up and said, "Are you pregnant?" The whole family was in the family room with us, and they all caught on quickly. They were so excited, and pretty amazed that we were able to keep it a secret for two months. We then proceeded to call the in-laws, and our close friends... before it went all over facebook thanks to our brother in law.
It was pretty much the best Thanksgiving ever.
Anyone else tell yesterday?
Re: Finally told everyone...
Very cute way to tell! We also shared with DHs family yesterday and my extended family the weekend before.
With my fam I changed into a tshirt that read "Babe" arrow up "Baby" arrow down...people mostly caught on lol.
With DHs family - they are divorced so we did it twice...we played the DVD from our NT where you can see clearly its a baby and you can hear the heartbeat and closeups of hands and feet and 3D ...they loved it!
Then we called/texted etc all of our close friends - they were super psyched and some were really hysterical about 'knowing" due to various small give aways here and there.
