Hello everyone! I am new to The Bump and have been reading a lot of helpful posts! My husband and I are trying to conceive or (TTC). So many abbreviations to learn!! I don't know what a "siggy" is or what DH or BFP or so many others mean, but I'm sure I'll learn. First of all, a little about myself. I just recently turned 30, my husband is 39 and we are trying for our first! It's exciting and STRESSful! I have been off the pill for several months but we only started trying last month. I have light cramps in between my periods that I've heard could be ovulation cramps. I've been to see my doctor and he says everything seems fine. My husband, on the other hand, has Cushings Disease and has been on Androgel for the past year, which lowers sperm count. He has to have shots of some sort to help boost his sperm count. I am trying to figure out what the first day of my period is because I always spot a couple of days before I actually have a heavy flow so does anyone know if the spotting counts as day one or not? I just started checking my BBT this cycle. And I've taken the First Response ovulation and fertility tests. Any help or advice will be much appreciated! What an exciting journey!

On the bottom lower left of the page, under the My Boards heading, there's a link to the Bump Board Glossary.
I would highly recommend a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility and/or the tutorial on fertilityfriend.com to help chart your cycles.
If you're actively TTC with a DH who has a low sperm count, it might be time to see a reproductive endocrinologist (RE) or to work with your DH's urologist to see what you can do to increase your chances.
He is seeing a reproductive specialist already. It is just a special case for them and the reproductive doctor and his endocrinologist are going back and forth trying to figure out what is best for his condition. Do you think I should see one as well?

No, unless your DH's doctors think it would be a good idea.
