(pain in the arse), my opk turned positive at 6:00PM. The norm would be to have a single IUI at 36 hours past, which would be 6:00AM Saturday. When that is not possible the general consensus is to go earlier ... but whether 12 hours earlier is better than 2 hours later I don't know. And of course the kit may have turned any time after I had last tested at 8AM this morning which throws an additional metaphorical wrench in the works.
So I don't know whether to try to schedule an IUI after court in the late afternoon tomorrow, or for 9:00AM Saturday (also the day we have 25 people coming over for a second Thanksgiving.)
I am guessing late afternoon tomorrow, but maybe I just skip this month altogether. I am already going for one insemination instead of two since my E2 is wonky, sort of waiting out the infertility diagnosis that comes at the six month mark. I have an appointment at the fertility clinic December 1 and will have more testing then likely be put on drugs when we start again in the January cycle.
It is just so hard to skip a month (and the next as well) of trying, especially since being due in August would be incredibly special for me, as would being pregnant over Christmas. I don't know what to do but don't want this to be simply an emotional decision either.
I have until 9:00AM to decide. Any insight is appreciated.
Re: to continue my body's general theme of being a PITA
This. They can live for a couple days, so if you don't O until Saturday they'll be there waiting. GL! Hoping this one is it for you!
Frozen sperm only live for about 24 hours.
