Mastitis..vent
Last Wednesday night I had horrible chills and a fever that turned out to be mastitis. I called my OB in the morning and they gave me a prescription for antibiotics over the phone. I continued to run a fever and by Friday it was 104.5. My husband rushed me to the doctor and they changed my prescription to a different antibiotic. My fever came and went and the hot, red lump started to go down a bit. My mom flew out last Sunday to help take care of me and the baby since my husband had to already miss 2 days of work to take care of me and the baby. I thought I was starting to feel better. Last night when I was pumping I looked down and the bottle on the mastitis side was filled with blood...freaky to see. Now today my mom flew home and of course my fever is up to 102. It's been over a week and I'm so ready for this to be over!
ETA; I've also been giving my baby formula since the medicine I am taking gave him diarrhea and diaper rash.
