Hypothetical question

Situation:

You have been actively TTC for approx 1 year and are super excited to start your family. You are starting to get sad that it has not happened yet and are going to the Dr. if it doesn't happen soon.

Your BFF has been wanting to TTC for years but had a lot of life circumstances that made it a bad idea to start, so she didn't. You know BFF wants to be a mom just as bad as you do.

BFF gets pregnant shortly after TTC the first time.

How do you want BFF to tell you about the pregnancy so that she is sensitive to your situation?

I think I would not want it to be a big surprise type of announcement. I would probably want to be told in person, one on one. Maybe go out for lunch or something....

I would also like to be told one on one. 

Ohsay - what do you mean by "publicly announced"?  Do you mean, announced to a lot of people while you are there?  Or just announced in general?  I'm not sure it's up to me to decide how and when anybody else announces their pregnancy.  But if it was going to be a big announcement at some sort of event that I would be present for, then I would hope my BFF would have the courtesy to warn me so I could prepare for something like that.

Obviously not up to me at all to decide how someone should announce it.  Just how I think I would prefer it to be if I was dealing with IF. I'm not gonna tell anyone when to announce it!  I think either way I would prefer a day or two to cope either before announced at a function or general public.  I think it would just suck if I didn't have some time to deal if people kept on asking "Did you hear she's pregnant!?" 

 That's all.  I'm not gonna tell anyone when they can announce it.  If I had my choice though, that's how it would be!

With a personal message, like an email or facebook message.  That way I can get the info and process it in private.  I wouldn't want to make my friend feel bad if I cried a little in front of her/over the phone.  Because I wouldn't be crying because I'm upset that she's pregnant, I'd be upset that I'm not pregnant with her.

I think one on one is the best way, IMO. Before its publicly announced so to avoid her finding out from anyone else first.
