TTC and 48?Seriously

I don't want to offend anyone here, but wholly smokes Kelly Preston and John Tavolta.....she is 48 frikken years old.....and gave birth.....how did that happen? Who is their RE.......?
TTC since 2009 very frustrated 42yr and DH 40

5 cycles of Clomid with satisfactory response=BFN's
Fibroid removal Nov2010
IUI Clomid #1 Feb 2011...BFN..damn it!
IUI Inject's #2 Apr 2011...CANCELLED...low estradiol
IUI Inject's #3 June 2011...BFN
IUI Inject's #4 Sept2011...BFFN
Lap Dec 2011...severe endo..cyst removed..some remains...
IVF#1 Apr 2012 ....cancelled due to over suppression
IVF#2 July 2012....6 follies...only 1 retrieved....BFFN
surgery suggested to move ovary to an better placement but....we moved two time zones away and are financially and emotionally empty

    yeah, 48 seems to be pushing it a bit.

    I wouldn't do it personally, but you ARE on the TTC35 board.  The post is a bit sensitive since we all get jabs all over the Nest/Bump over what is "too old" to have a baby.  I am not going to take anything away from their decision.  They did what they think works best for their family.  I see no wrong in that.

    Sometimes I wonder if I will still be wishing and hoping at 48.

    Agreed about what board we are on.

    And I have no idea if she had an RE or not, but for the record, my gramma was conceived in 1918 when her mom was 47.  No RE there. Her closest in age sibling was already fighting in the War.  The family story was he received a telegram "in the trenches" that said, "You have a baby sister" and he sent one back, "Haha."

    I am happy for them!  I wish we all had the money and resourses they had while TTC.

    Ya heard that, she had a boy!!  There is a girl in my town, she is 47 and she had a baby boy a few months ago, i kinda know her and am waiting to bump into her so i can grill her, nicely of course!!  *sigh* some people have all the luck Tongue Tied

    Wishing them all a wonderful pregnancy and lets hope we are as lucky!!!!

    I know that "we" are on the TTC over 35

    I'm 2 months shy of 41 and still TTC, but I'm just saying that "Wow" it happened for them and She is 48! Didn't say anything about their ability to be good parents or that nature can't just step in sometimes.
