TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

Acupuncture might actually be working this time

She spends so much more time with me than my last one and I think I'm responding.  I am starting to think that what I thought was mid-cycle spotting on CD17-19 may actually have been some weird short AF - maybe because of the cysts?  I started acupuncture 4 days after that and my temps seemed to regulate immediately and I think I O'd on Saturday.  Of course our timing probably won't be great since I had sort of given up on this cycle, but I guess there's a shot.

Giving up cheese may actually be a good thing after all!

  • I eat my cheese with a side of more cheese so I didn't think I could do it.  I have cheated a little, but it actually hasn't been that bad.

  • If I can have only one thing it might just have to be french fries, but what fun are those if they aren't drenched in cheese?

I'll probably end up lactose intolerant after not having it for a while because  that is just the way the universe seems to work these days for me.

  • rjl, I was wondering how you were doing. It looks good! You actually inspired me to cut back on my dairy, the worst part was finding another mid-day snack instead of my cheese stick. I so hope it all works for you!
  • Glad to hear it's helping.

I hope it works for you too!  We deserve something good to happen for depriving ourselves of cheesy goodness.  Are you going to do acupuncture with your IVF?

I probably should, but I haven't given it much thought yet. I know certain providers are covered under the insurance but the ones that are don't seem to specialize in fertility.

  • Even if they aren't covered, it's not too expensive if you just go a few times.  You could probably just go twice - before and after transfer.  They might have experience with it even if they don't truly specialize in fertility.  Your RE can probably recommend someone too.

  • This is the craziest cycle ever!  The spotting could very well have been AF since it would have been an anovulatory cycle.

    Enjoy your country club Thanksgiving!!!
