Knockoff recipe for Tastefully Simple Spinach Herb Dip?

I love the Tastefully Simple Spinach Herb dip, but realized too late that my jar is expired.  Anyone happen to have a knockoff recipe??

  • All those jars are are dried veggies, herbs, and spices.  I probably wouldn't worry much about an expiration date, honestly.

  • i dotn think i would care about the expiration date on it too much- theres not anything in it that can "spoil" really...i looked at my container, and i would use it after the expy date :)
  • Well, I guess I should have posted this before I dumped mine down the garbage disposal........  LOL
  • Oh, geez.  There are lots of these dip mixes in the salad dressing aisle at our grocery store.  I have never tried them, but...

I looked at the ingredients and was thinking you could probably wing it and mix up your own, but I'm not sure where you'd get spinach flakes.  Never seen those before, but I guess I haven't looked either.

Spinach flakes, onion, minced green onions, dill, garlic.

Yeah, I couldn't find spinach flakes either, but I bought a dill dip mix that uses sour cream, so maybe I'll just add some garlic and onion powder and see how it goes.  The original is 1 cup sour cream and 1 cup mayonnaise, right??

That is pretty standard for their dips, yeah.  I have never had that specific one.
