Adoption

Good news

Well... we have an official match.  We were emailed last week that an expectant mother wanted to meet with us.  A few days later we were surprised when the agency forwarded an email from her to us.  It was awesome to start friendly communication with her before meeting (definitely helped with the nerves).  Yesterday we met...and it could not have gone better.  She has asked us to accompany her to her doctor's appointments and we should be finding out the gender before Christmas.  The baby is due March 31st.  Fingers crossed and lots of prayers on this journey....

Re: Good news

  • That's wonderful news!  How great that she invited you to her doctor's appointments, too.  I went with dd's birthmom to one of hers and I got to her dd's heartbeat -- what an amazing moment!

    Lots of luck!

Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever! • That's such amazing news and really warms my heart. I hear so much  bad news that I often wonder if there's any hope (we're in limbo now trying to decide to move forward with IF treatments, adopt, or do nothing). THis makes me smile and reminds me that all who want a child will eventually find their way to their forever families :-) Thanks for sharing!

History of IF and 2.5 years TTC. The day we were to start our first IUI we received a call that changed our lives forever and 10 month old Olivia joined our family. Shortly thereafter we got a surprise BFP and baby 2 is due July 5, 2012
