If you make pie ahead of time for T-day

Do you bake it a couple days ahead of time or what?  I have frozen pie crust and intend to do a pear crisp with some over-ripe pears we have.  I hope it works out and isn't all mushy...Would you think that if I made it tomorrow it would refrigerate and we could just warm it through the day of?
