Estrace and vivelle.dot - pls help

Can you tell I've been obsessing over my lining all day?  I have issues.

Is Estrace the same as Vivelle.dot (estrogen patch)?

Wiki says both are estradiol.  Anyone know?  I got the patch today from the RE's office but wondering why I don't have the blue estrace pills too.  I've seen some people do both, but if they are the same thing, why do both?

 

11/10: IUI #1 =100mg Clomid CD4-8 + pregnyl trigger + IUI = chemical pregnancy
1/11: IUI #2 = 5mg Femara + trigger + IUI = BFN
2/11: IUI #3 = injectibles + trigger + IUI = BFN
IVF #1 April 2011 ER 4/23 w/16 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 11 fert., 4 blasts to freeze, 5dt of 2 blasts on 4/28, beta #1 5/7 = 243... beta #2 5/9 = 491....beta #3 5/11 = 1113!!

    Me neither.  Ok it's official, I'm not going to obsess about my BS lining anymore.

    Thanks!  It will be interesting to see if they trigger me on Thurs, and/or if my lining gets much better due to this estrogen patch.

    I think if your lining improves, they'll trigger you! That would mean iui Friday and Saturday?

    Yes it would. Well, Friday for sure I guess and Saturday only if the u/s shows I haven't O'd yet.

    I am not sure about the patch. I had the blue vag pills. I would have uch ratehr had a patch because I was on them until 10 weeks. yuck! Good luck!  The estrace worked miracles on my crappy lining (I have low estrogen anyway).  Hopefully the patch will do the same!
