So I know MN posts are taboo, but I need help!

We have decided for now that we like Ari the best for a little boy. We don't know if we will do Ari or Ariel but for sake of ease let's say we're just doing Ari.

I REALLY like the sound of Ari Alexander, but there is 5 month old that we are close to in our family named Ammon Alexander, so I don't want to use Alexander.

I have found that generally speaking, I like 3+ syllable MN's for such a short FN as Ari. Our last name is common, two syllables and ends in -er. 

I don't like anything TOO out there or made up and Christopher has already been used for our first DS.

Ideas?

Maximilian, Thaddeus, Tobias, Eddison, Xavier, Leonardo, Josiah, Zacharias, Benjamin....  

I especially like the way Thaddeus, Tobias, Josiah, and Zacharias sound with Ari.  Cool fn btw!! 

 

ETA:  I realize that some of these are a little "out there!"

I know you prefer 2 syllables, but would Ari Xander work? Or would that be too close to Alexander?

What about Ari Augustus (keeping the AA theme)? I was going to say Sebastian too, but then I thought if you went with Ariel - the combo would not be so good, lol.

Can I just say how happy I am that you guys are going with Ari/Ariel? I think that is such an awesome name for a little boy!

I like Gabriel, Nicholas, Theodore and Benjamin best. But please don't name your child Ariel Gabriel (sounds too rhymey) I definitely prefer just Ari.

If you like Alexander go for it.  Its a middle name so its not like it will get used a lot for either child.  I also like Ari Nicholas.
