So many of you said you got this shot....my DD's pedi recommended getting it and then I was reading up on it and it says to get it every 10 years....I think I may have gotten it 7 years ago but I have to try to find my medical records (I've moved a lot). So my question is...did you guys wait until your 10 year mark or did you just do it anyway??

Well I just asked my doctor if I was up to date. Can you call your current or past doctors? If anything, just call your doctor and ask if you can get the shot anyway, even though you aren't sure.

I would just re-do it.  It won't hurt you if you do.

The pertussis vaccine was just added to the adult tetanus booster in 2005 (I believe), so you probably haven't had it.  The vaccine handout when you get the vaccine states that anyone who is in contact with a young infant should receive it.  Get it!
