DH's gma is with us and she is giving him Power of Attorney. Do we need to get it notarized? It doesn't say anything on the form, but my mom says it needs to be done.
It may be something that varies by state (which I kind of doubt), but I'd do it. You can just take it to the bank, I think. Most banks have tellers that have their notary whatever it is called.

I would think so - maybe you could get someone to come to the car? Or you could maybe call the county clerk's office and see if they have any info on having a notary come to you?

there are plenty of notaries that come to your house
every time you do a refinance the notary comes to your house with the docs to sign
I know 2 SAHMs who are notaries whyo go to your house
don't drag your Gma out anywhere
plus if you drag her out she'll be disoriented and not capable of convincing the notary that she knows what she's doing and wants to give power of attorney

My grandma is immobile and in a nursing home and she had to sign power of attorney to my mom. She had to have it notarized. You should be able to find someone to come to you. Good luck with your search, we had my grandma in other nursing home untile we found where she is now. If something doesn't seem right with a place, move on. It takes awhile to find a good reputable place sometimes.
Re: Eclaires - another legal question
Yes, I'm pretty sure you do.
