Cleaning PNP mattress

I made the very bad mistake of changing Sophie in the PNP bassinet this morning and of course she peed all over it just as I was doing my very quick diaper switcheroo. Any suggestions on how to clean this? TIA!

did it soak in or just sit ontop of the fabric? if it just sat ontop of the fabric maybe you could wipe it down with lysol or clorox wipes.

you may want to get a mattress pad

heres one on amazon, you could get a sheet for your PnP and put it between the sheet and the pnp pad

Sadly, it soaked in. It was a lot.

It didn't even occur to me to use a regular mattress pad on th pack n play. Probably because I was thinking of the fitted ones. Duh.

This is what we do. Then when we have an accident, we can just strip the pnp and toss the mattress pad & sheet in the wash.

maybe put a little dreft (or other detergent) in a bucket of hot water and scrub it really well. then go over with just plain water to rinse. then put it outside to dry in the sun?

Be careful...when I tried to clean my PNP mattress I washed it w/ soapy water, which was fine, but then I put it under the shower to 'rinse' the soap off and 80% of the water soaked into it and stayed..I had to let it drip out for over 24 hour b4 it was anywhere near dry. Learned my lesson.

Our PNP matress has thin wooden slats that slide into the fabric to give it it's shape and firmness.  All we have to do is slide out that slates and throw the fabric in the washer.  We have a Chicco.
