One of my friends has a little boy named Brayden Alexander... I think that flows really nicely!  I like Brayden James instead of James Brayden.  I definately think it sounds best as a first name because it's so strong sounding.

I dont think he would be teased too bad... how often would he be called his full name?  I actually went to school with a guy named Billy Joe (awful name to begin with!) and he actually went  by BJ and nobody ever picked on him.  I do understand where you are coming from though, kids can be cruel sometimes.

A friend of mine named her son Braydyn Allen. And as for the 'BJS' initials. My initals growing up were BJ and no one ever said anything (to my face anyway).

When we got stuck on middle names for a girl, we went through our families and found some.

We picked out Keira Elizabeth (Elizabeth is MILs name) and Laila Katherine (my great grandma's name).

I like middle names with meaning.

I like Brayden James as well.  I wouldn't worry about the whole BJ initials thing.  I went to school with someone who went by BJ and jokes were made once highschool rolled around, but he joked right along with them.  It wasn't cruel and kids will find a way to joke no matter what.

It's being guessed that we are having a girl, but DH and I want to have a boy's name picked out just in case.....The name I really like is Gabriel Alejandro but his initials would be GAS.....I'm still not sure about it!  On another note, I know several guys that went by their initials BJ and never got teased.

GAS are not the initials that I would pick for my child.  I teach 4th grade and I ask my kids to put their initials on stuff in the classroom all the time.  Life would be very difficult with those initials... kids are mean.
