Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Left the gas stove on low for like two hours....

I just noticed now.  I am a complete wreck.  DD just went to bed and her room is right next to kitchen, so I'm sure her room was exposed.  I am worried that since her door is now shut that the gas is just circulating in there.  I am so upset and not sure what to do?  Any advice?

  • If the burner was going, it shouldn't be an issue.  If not, I might go check on her and open her door for awhile.

The burner wasn't going :(  That is why I never noticed until a bit ago.  I smelled something funny and thought to check the stove.  Good thing I did otherwise I'm sure it would have been left on all night.

  • I have done that a few times, and it was no big deal.  She'll be fine!  The last time I did, it was probably a few hours before I noticed, and I just turned it off and cracked a window.

Thank you.  Seriously you don't know how much better I feel knowing that your LO wasn't harmed by this type of mistake!  THANK YOU! :):):)  I
