We have narrowed down a few names for baby girl. One of them is one syllable. Because of this I'm having trouble thinking of a middle name that sounds good. DH says we can come up with a first name and she can just go by her middle name, but I don't really like that idea.

What middle names go with 1 syllable first names? I am all about them flowing. We are not sharing the name so I know it makes things difficult.

I think a one or two syllable name would go good with a one syllable first name. It is kind of hard to match since we don't know the first name. I just looked at a ton of websites and baby books.

I have always preferred a different number of syllables for the first and middle name.  So, if the first name is one, I would chose a middle that had a least 2 syllables.  How about Marie? Madison? Leah?  Hope that helps :-)

Elizabeth, Marie, Grace, and Renee are pretty standard middle names and sound good with most names.  I would think a 2 or 3 syllable name would flow better with a 1 syllable name.  It's hard to suggest particular names since we don't know the name you're thinking of.  GL!  I know picking a name is tough.

I think it has to be 2+ syllables.

I think 2 syllables is good. I have a 1 syllable name, and a 2 syllable middle name. I tried to pair my name with a 3 or 4 syllable name, and it didn't flow right to me.. GL!

Yep!  I have a one syllable name and Anne was my middle name before getting married.

I've never even thought of names being 1 or 2 + syllable and how they flow together.  Either they do or they don't in my opinion.

Hard to say since we don't know the first name. For a one syllable first name, you definitely need multiple syllables for the middle name. How about Elizabeth?

Elizabeth would work--but it's Keira's middle name.
