Exchanging diapers for different size?

Does anyone know if you can bring in unopened diapers to exchange them for a larger size at Target or Wal-Mart? I am on hold for Wal-mart but thought I'd ask here for your experience. Thanks.

Edited to add: they were gifted and I do not have receipts for them.

  • I exchanged pampers for huggies at wal-mart that I got at my shower. I don't even know if they were bought there. They didn't give me a problem.

  • Target allows exchanges up to $70 per year without a receipt, at least that's what I was told when making a return the other day.

  • I've returned diapers and J&J products at Walmart without a receipt and had no problems. They just give you store credit for them.

  • FYI, BRU didn't for anyone who might be interested.  We had an unopened box (w/ no receipt) that was bought from their store and they said no.  All we wanted was to get the next size up, not trying to get money out of them.  I was pissed.

My BRUS is the same way.  No receipt and not on the registry = no exchanges.  They're really terrible that way!

To OP - Friends have told me that Walmart was the easiest with exchanges.  GL!

  • Walmart does this with NO problems! They are the best when it comes to exchanges diapers without a receipt! The diapers I exchanged were not even from there in the first place.
  • Just coming back to confirm that Walmart will take them. They have a "daily" maximum of $50 with no receipt, I hit that but I went back about 30 minutes later and returned my other stuff without a problem.

Put them on your registry as purchased and then exchange them at BRU.
