How do you find time to shower? Especially if your kids are small like mine. I usually wait till DS naps but I have to leave today and don't know what to do with DS. He is too big/hates his exersaucer, will scream if I put him in his crib with toys...ugh.

Recently I've been trying to get up before both of them but that's proving difficult so I just have to let them (mostly just DD) cry. It's only for a few minutes and I don't really have any other choice.

When the kids were little, I would put C in the pack n play right outside the bathroom door.  Most times he was entertained by J and if not, I was quick.

As they got older, I let them play in my room while I showered with the door open.  I had a gate at the door so they couldn't leave the room and I my room is fairly childproof (sad!).

Now, they just have the run of the house while I shower.  I have locks at the tops of the doors to the outside and really, the kids have never had any interest in randomly running outside or opening doors.

My husband travels for work and I work FT out of the home, so I've had to get myself and the kids ready most weekday mornings by myself since they were born.  If I couldn't shower I would go nuts!

I try to get up before the girls to shower.  With DH working nights he's not up to wrangle if I need him to and I don't trust S with L unsupervised while showering.  Not that I think S would hurt her intentionally or anything, but the probability of her trying to drag L off like a rag doll to dress up is high. lol

If I'm lucky enough to wake up before they do, I hop in the shower.  This almost never happens.  I usually take a shower before bed or while they are both napping during the day.  If their naps don't overlap, I bring DS#2 into the bathroom with me and I'm quick!

the only way is when ds is asleep (as in asleep for the night).  other than that, i can only get one when dh is home.  but i prefer to shower at night anyway so its no big deal to me.

I do it at night when the boys are down for the night.  I never know how cooperative the boys will be or how my schedule will go (different almost every day during the week) so this was my most consistant timeframe.

I try to when Evan is napping or DH is home.  If thats not possible, I try to make sure it's at a relatively happy time and I do it in a hurry.  Evan generally comes in and stands outside the shower door pounding the crap out of it.  I've also in the past closed them into our bedroom with a bunch of toys/tv on and done it quickly (with the adjoining bathroom door open). 

Showers are hard to come by some days!

IF I get a shower during the day, I usually leave T with a short movie or pbs on and B in the swing, but he's getting too big for that (probably already is) so sometimes he comes into the bathroom and sits in his bumbo while I shower. I play peek-a-boo out the shower door so I can take a bit longer if he's quiet in the seat. Or when he's napping but those are non-existant lately. (That IF is a REALLY BIG if)  I've gone as long as 3 days between showers sadly. Sometimes I just lean my head over and wash my hair quick if I can't get a shower in but really need to wash my hair. 
Before kids, I took showers for granted, Heck, before BEN I took showers for granted.

#1 usually turns on the tv in our room and #2 usually plays with toys on the floor of the bathroom.

lucy gets the "big girl" job of watching hudson for me. i'm usually in there about 10 minutes. his bedroom is pretty childproof and they do really well together in there. she takes her job seriously, this girl. which is not to say that i haven't had to jump out and run down the hall dripping wet on occasion. but for the most part, i trust them together. it seems she's more likely to act out when i'm sitting right beside them, for some reason.

either after they go to bed or before they wake up.  Or, if DS is awake, I give him toons and because he gets them rarely, he is happy to watch them for 5-10 minutes while I grab a quick shower...
