somebody please kill me [vent/omg nap help]

we`re on day 6 of no naps. the first couple days, she managed a half-hour here and there; tuesday one 90-minute; other than that, nothing. i put her down and she screams bloody murder. she`s been good at falling asleep by herself for about a month and a half, two months, until this week. it`s not an ear infection or teething. if i go back in the room, she laughs and plays, and rubs her eyes and acts tired, for a half hour while i sing, etc. then she screams.... and screams, and throws herself around her crib, and freaks. she won`t calm down. she also was fighting the same way at bedtime, and night waking after not having done so for a couple months, but the last two nights that`s been better. holy crap i can`t take it.

I have no advice, but you're not alone. E has been going through a bad napping spell too. She absolutely refuses to sleep in her crib and it's getting old.

Ugh.  We're going through it too.  Not as severe as you are, but ours has been going on for about 5 weeks now!  She's been waking up at night a TON after pretty much STTN and naps are totally hit or miss depending on the day.

We've blamed ours on two teeth, two illnesses, and learning to stand up in her crib...  but honestly I have no idea if it's all that or just some horrible phase.  

Some days I feel like we have a newborn again.

I'm in the same boat. Don't know what his deal is. But today I was determined to get him to nap in his crib again. After struggling with him for a half hour, I put him on my chest and he fell right to sleep. So I put him in his crib on his stomach, he played a bit and he fell asleep! I am checking on him every 5 minutes as I've never put him on his stomach to sleep and it freaks me out a little, but maybe this will help you too?
