anyone else on IV fluids?

so i've had m/s since 5 weeks, and even though I'm on zofran, i've vomited at least once a day for my entire pregnancy. on Tuesday morning, i vomited up blood, so i went to the dr.  i lost 5 lbs in a week, and was dehydrated.  so now i'm on IV fluids at night.  is anyone else going through this or have experience with this in the past?  for now i'm on the iv for a week (until my next check up), but i don't know how long to expect to be on the IV.

Wow - Thoughts and prayers for you!  Hope this lets up soon!  I was on an IV with my daughter, but it was at 38-40 weeks.

I was hospitalized in the beginning and were talking PIC line since I had no good veins to get an IV in. They finally got one in my wrist half way an taped it there. There was talk (and still is) of doing this, since I am not a big drinker, and Zofran isn't working for me as well, but I am dry heaving more than vomiting now. I feel your pain and frustration, but I hope that it fades for you soon!! It definitely is no fun. But I hope you are feeling better now that you are getting hydrated. It made me feel a lot better once I got fluids in me a few times.

I'm sorry you've been so sick.  My neighbor is due in February and I hate to tell you, but she's still on IV fluids and has been since about 16 weeks.  Hopefully you'll be feeling better soon!
