DD has had bad diarrhea since yesterday. We are trying to get her to drink pedialyte, but its not working. I bought the clear no flavor kind and mixed it with her water and she only will drinks a few sips. She didn't like the orange flavor at all. We only give her water and milk, so she isn't use to drinking flavored stuff. I don't think she would eat the popsicle kind either.
DH is now forcing DD to drink the pedialyte by syringe. She hates it, but its better than nothing. At least DD will drink plain water.
Any other ideas?

Re: pedialyte...DD won't drink it
DD hates it too.
Her pediatrician said we could just give her regular gatorade instead. Or even juice.
Pedialyte is really, really salty tasting. Nothing like sweet gatorade or juice. If she usually only gets water or milk, she will probably adore regular gatorade, or even apple juice.
Good luck!
mix it w/ teh milk? or try diluting the milk w/ a water and then pediatlyte? So, it'll have the flavor of milk, but not much actual milk.
We had the same prob when we gave her pedialyte - she'd only had water and milk so the flavors didn't go over well. We started giving her diluted juice and occassionally straight juice so she'd get used to the flavor a little more. As long as she's drinking something I wouldn't worry too much.
My DS was the exact same way! He hated it... so much that now we try to give him the same sippy cup and he won't even touch it, no matter what's in it.
We tried to give him apple juice and he didn't like that either (I was shocked!)
