Rhogam shot question

If the mother is + and the father is - you do not need the rhogam shot correct? 
DD (8/12/09), DD (2/8/11)

    No, it's only if the mother is negative.

    Yes. I'm RH negative and got the shot. Still don't know what DH is, so therefore I'm very sure that his type will not determine if you get a shot or not. If the mother is RH Positive, she doesn't need the shot.

    You have to be the same to NOT get the shot. I'm O- but DH has no clue what he is so I got it anyway. He thinks he is B- but I wasn't taking any chances

    It is only when the mother is RH negative.  I had to have this done a couple weeks back and then again after I deliever.

    You only need to get the shot if you are - your husbands blood type has nothing to do with it.
