I love the name Liam, and William is a family name. Would you use William and use Liam as a nickname (or even Will?) or would you just name the baby Liam? Also, what do you think of Liam/William/Will as names? Thanks!
I think Liam is cute but I prefer it as a nn to the full name William. Giving him the full name William also gives him options when he's older, he may prefer Will.
ETA: LOVE William, its a classic and you can't go wrong with it.
I think this is on of those situations where you can't go wrong:
Liam is a fine standalone name, but it also works as a NN and it is always nice to give your kid options as far as NN's go. Personally, I prefer Liam as a standalone name...but like I said, either option works really well.
I love William and Liam, but we would use Liam as a stand alone name. Mainly because we are leaning toward the mn Robert (family name) and William Robert lends itself to the nn Billy Bob (my DH best friends nn, haha). Also, my ex before my DH was a William. But anyways, I think either way the name(s) is great!

I like all of the options. Liam works fine on its own, but if you like the sentimental value of William, use Liam as a NN. You're in a pretty flexible position.
Since you're asking "WWYD?"---I'd use William because I like family names, and call him Liam or Will. I love both.
yes, cause if that is what he will be called ALL the time than name him that to begin with. FWIW if we have another DD we will name her maggie or lucy not the full name cause they would be called lucy or maggie.
