I had my HSG yesterday afternoon and it went fine. I was really nervous about it, but luckily everything went really smoothly. I had a wonderful nurse who put me at ease immediately, and she and I chatted throughout the procedure. They had the screen turned so I could see it, and my tubes are definitely not blocked. They said everything looked good. I see my RE on Monday and we'll discuss it, but I'm expecting to hear that there was nothing of concern on the HSG.
I took 800 mg of ibuprofen before the appointment and I'm glad I did. Even with that, I experienced pain similar to very strong menstrual cramps. I imagine if I hadn't taken anything ahead of time, the pain would have been pretty bad for me. I had cramps for about 2 hours after the appointment and that was it.
On Monday, my RE and I will be discussing where we're going to go from here. I'm really curious to find out what my options are and to get an idea of what the RE thinks might be going on with my body. I'm definitely not expecting to get any answers on Monday, but it'd be nice to have another plan in place.

So glad to hear everything went well. I'm glad you took some ibuprofen to help ease the pain, something I wish I would have done. It's good to hear your tubes aren't blocked, that's one thing your RE can cross off the list.
Good luck on Monday. Hopefully you will learn more about what steps you guys can take.
