Sugar high?

Monday morning I drank the super tasty glucose drink for my GD test. That night I went out to the Melting Pot with some friends and had (probably too much) s'mores fondue. Since then, LO has not stopped moving! He's like a squirrel on meth in there. He was flailing so hard that he practically kicked DH's hand off my belly. Has anyone else out there given their kid a pre-natal sugar rush?

I used to do that to DD all the time- she was really sensitive to sugar! The one night I had a Coke with dinner and my husband had to ask me to roll over because she was kicking him in the back!

That happened a lot before I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes.  I think because my blood sugar was always so high he was constantly on a sugar buzz and he never stopped moving.  Now that I've been on the low carb diet for the last 6 weeks, he hasn't been moving as much and at first I was worried until I realized that was probably why.

Now I am a bit worried because right after I hit the 'post' button on this, I got a call from my OB saying I need to go in tomorrow for the 3 hour test. Fingers crossed that the first test was just a fluke.
