We got several packages of diapers at our baby shower this past weekend, but we're cloth diapering. I'm 99% sure they came from Kroger, because the same person gave us a giant box of wipes that have a Kroger sticker over the UPC code.
Has anyone tried to return diapers to Kroger w/o a receipt? Did they let you?
Re: Returning diapers to Kroger?
I am sure they'd let you, but I just wanted to say we have definitely found times when we need/want to use disposables. For example, today we went to Totter's Otterville and I knew he'd poop in the car. I didn't want to come back to a smelly car, but also didn't want to carry it around so I used a disposable.
Also, I know a lot of cloth diapers won't fit a tiny newborn (although I'm sure you've researched the kind you have).
Just thought I'd let you know our experience.
They should be able to take them back, if anything they would just give you a Kroger gift card for the amount of the diapers.

Thanks!
Oh and we're keeping a pack of newborns but we got size 1's and 2's that we won't use. Thank you though!
You might still want to keep those, though. We have used them when DD's been on an antibiotic and I don't want to deal with yeast in the diapers and she usually requires a more heavy duty (not CD safe) diaper cream when she's been sick/dealing with nasty antibiotic butt rash.
