Molly as a middle name - HELP

I want to give DD#2 "Molly" as a middle name, to honor my sister.

I am having a really hard time of thinking of a first name that goes well.  And yes, I know it doesn't really matter.  #1 is Olivia Kipp (my maiden name) and that doesn't exactly have a ring to it!

Suggestions?  TIA!

Re: Molly as a middle name - HELP

  • I would think a longer FN would be better. Like maybe Elizabeth or Isabel.

  • I like Erin Molly.

Just what I was thinking!  We are using Molly as a FN and I just love the name.

  • Elizabeth, Lauren, Eden, Eleanor, Quinn, Kathryn, Annabelle

  • Ava Molly, Caitlin Molly, Meghan Molly, Samantha Molly, Anna Molly.....
  • LOVE Molly. I am so full of girl names, I am of course having a boy.

Is Molly a name that is a shortened version of something else? I suppose not, since you're asking the question about Molly, and not something else. :)

I keep hearing Molly in my head as a first name, so I'm no help to you on suggestions.

    GL!

  • I love the name Molly!  Very sweet.  I think something longer and classic like Elizabeth would be nice.
  • I think the clue to me on this one would be to choose a name that does not end in the same sound as Molly.  So something like Lindsay Molly would sound awkward.  But Joanna Molly Doe or Sarah Molly Doe,(just examples) I think it sounds good :-)

  • I really like the PP's suggestion... Samantha Molly

Plus, I think it would go well with your DD's name.

Just think of hollering... Olivia & Samantha, quit that! or quiet down! lol, whatever works for you... but I think that one is the best I've heard!

    I second this motion.

  • My cousin just had a baby girl named Emerson. I never loved the name until I saw her. It may sound weird, but it fits her and sounds prettier to me now. Though they call her Emma.

I think Emerson Molly is nice.

I also know a Katherine Molly and a Julia Molleen (which has the same ring to it)
