Babies: 3 - 6 Months

does your child enjoy classes/playgroups?

I was wondering if you do these things for you to get out or for your Lo's well-being.  I just know that right now, with my lo's teething going on, he would not be the happiest camper in the classes, though I really want to get out and for him to like it too!

  • Right now it's more for me.  I did Baby Boot camp and am part of a couple groups at meetup.com.

The meetup groups are great because it's really casual (and free).  If she's having an off day, we just wont go.

We signed up for a "music together" class through parks and rec. that will start in January.  That should be fun for both of us.  She loves music and I get to meet other mommies.

  • We have this thing called 'Baby Talk' put on by our local health clinics once a week, where moms and babies get together for an hour and chat, play etc.

This is Liam's happiest time of the week. Even in his grumpiest mood, being around all the noise and babies and he's too distracted to complain! Sometimes he'll have a meltdown of course, but it happens. I've actually started driving across the city to another health clinic, so we can do two a week =)

So I guess I do it for both of us.

  • DS looooooves seeing the older kids in the moms club play.  He squeals and wiggles and seems to really enjoy watching them.  I think it's great for both of us!
