Cloth Diapering

Lanolin for diaper rash?

I checked out California Baby cream for diaper rash and the active ingredient is lanolin. I did a little research online and it looks like I can use my Lansinoh lanolin as a diaper rash cream while DS is wearing cloth diapers. Has anyone tried this? Did it cure the rash and wash out of your diapers?

If it matters, we are using kissaluvs and unbleached indian prefolds at this stage. (He's in disposables right now since I put some butt paste on him that I was given at my shower. It's not safe for cloth.)

  • I haven't tried this personally, but I attended a seminar at my local CD shop where they said that yes, you can use lanolin with CD's.

  • Be careful b/c I've heard that if the rash is a yeast rash that the lanolin will actually make it worse....
