Can't Get Enough to Drink...

So every night like every other pregnant woman, I get up 3-5 times to go to the bathroom.  Last night I wake up and realize, in addition to having to go, I am so.freaking.thirsty!! I drank an entire 12oz bottle of water in maybe a gulp and a half.  Needless to say, this didn't help the number of bathroom trips later on in the night.  Now this morning, I've had 16oz of orange juice, 16oz of milk and I'm slurping down ice water too.  Can I just get an IV drip brought in to work already??!!  Any other ladies requiring a water bottle the size of an Olympic pool?

  • I feel like this and it sucks because I get really uncomfortable after I eat or drink and have trouble breathing.  It's so squished in the there!!!  I'm trying to sip a little all day to avoid this insatiable thirst monster.

  • Yes! I re-fill a giant glass of ice water at my desk probably 10-12 times a day. Which means I'm spending about half my work day trecking to the bathroom. I also drink lots of milk and water when I get home from work. I'm always thirsty. I wake up really thirsty in the middle of the night sometimes, but I try to take small sips to avoid any extra trips to the bathroom. Either way, I'm up 4-5 times a night Crying

  • This is how I felt from about 5 to 17 weeks.  It was EXTREME!  Now I still drink plenty, much more than pre-pregnancy... but I don't have the crazy discomfort of unquenchable thirst.
  • I'm like this at night and have been for probably six weeks now at least.  It has gotten worse first I only need one 24 oz bottle by the bed and now I need two.  I roll over and grab them in the middle of the night and in the morning the second one is half gone.

  • Totally thirsty!  I have a 35 minute drive home from work, and if I forget to bring a bottle of water, I'm always looking longingly at my cupholder the entire way.  Of course, either way I'm running to the bathroom as soon as I get home.

  • I feel the same way! We were going through SO much bottled water that it was getting ridiculously wasteful and expensive. We have nasty well-water at our house so I bought a Brita pitcher and a few water bottles and we've saved so much $$ in the last few months! I am constantly filling up, and making trips to the bathroom all day and night long.

  • It seems like you cant win. If you drink to much water, you feel like a water balloon and you have to wee wee for million times. If you dont drink enough, your RLP can get worse.

Hmmm...I hadn't even thought about it, but since becoming a liquid black hole, I haven't had near as bad of RLPs as I was.  Makes sense, I just hadn't put those two together. I'd rather run to the bathroom more than have RLPs though.  Sneezing had become what I referred to as an "ovary explosion".  OUCH!

  • It's actually starting to get ridiculous. I need to carry a water bottle everywhere. If I go to the store and forget one, I will open a new one right in the store, of course, then pay for an empty bottle, lol. Yesterday I went to my son's school for american education week. Forgot my water. I had to raise my hand and ask the teacher where the water fountain was because I felt like if I didn't get some I would pass out.Good times!
