Was it after your babies? Why did you get them? Are you happy with them? Size? How was the recovery? (I'm concerned about this with a 3 and 1 yr old.)How did you find your surgeon? How long until they felt like "yours"? I'm seriously considering getting some kind of augmentation. I've always had small breasts that I was happy with, (A-small but after nursing all, and I mean all of the breast tissue has gone away. I literally look pre puberty, there's nothing there, not even a bump! In addition my nipples now sag and point down. It's awful for my self esteem and I don't even want my DH to see me naked... Thoughts?! I'm posting on this board b/c I was hoping to find someone who had it done after kids and has had them for a little while...
You can have some of mine A friend of mine just had hers done. Her kids are 6 and 2. She had the same issues you had - she was practically flat and always wanted to get them increased. She had a rough weekend after the surgery and I believe the first two weeks were rough in terms of limited mobility and not being able to pick up the younger kids but she steadily improved after that.
I can't answer the rest of your questions - it wasn't a secret but I didn't feel comfortable asking detailed questions.
I've had mine for 5 years. I had them done when my 2 kids were 2 & 5 y.o. I got them done because I was flat as a board and had hated being like that my whole adult life. Everyone said I'd get them when I got pregnant and breastfeed. Well, they didn't grow at all, not one bit. Stayed flat throughout both pregnancies. So I knew an augmentation was the only way I was going to get some breasts. I'm petite framed so I went up to a Full B. Love them!! Best thing I ever did. Research the procedure, recovery, risks www.justbreastimplants.com has a great forum. Go to a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. There are new surgical techniques out now that make the recovery a lot easier. My surgeon was trained in the new techniques and I had a real easy recovery. You still have lifting and exercise restrictions for several weeks. So no lifting babies. They don't look perfect right away, they actually have to settle for a good 3 - 6 months, with slight changes up to 1 year. You'll learn all of this if you read threads on the forum. I found my surgeon through word of mouth and also referrals from the forums. I went on a few consultations before making a final decision. I think once they settled and healed they felt like mine. I have never felt like I have anything artificial in me. If you have any other specific questions feel free to ask.
Was it after your babies? Between, I've had them since 2005.
Why did you get them? After DS1, my small Bs almost disappeared
Are you happy with them? Size? Love them! Normally I'm a 34D, but with BFing right now, I'm a 34F
How was the recovery? No lie, it hurt and I needed help (couldn't lift DS for 2 weeks). I did go to work the day after my surgery. You have to stay on top of your meds.
How did you find your surgeon? Online- great reviews and patient outcomes. Then went to interview him.
How long until they felt like "yours"? Not too long.
Wanted to add- I'm so glad I got them, and I have noticed a huge difference b/w DS1 and DS2. Now, even though I'm still BFing, they stayed nice and perky!
