EWCM on cycle day 5?

This is my second cycle charting and I am on CD 5...I am spotting now-still a little red, but light enough for a pantiliner.  I had a BM (tmi?) and when I wiped I saw stretchy looking clearish/slightly yellowish CM.  What's up with that?  Surely to goodness I'm not ovulating?  I have only temped like 3 days during my period...

any thoughts?  Thanks!

You can have EWCM anytime during your cycle.

had something similar this cycle... I guess it's possible to O that early but maybe just fertile-looking CM?

I got it much sooner this cycle because I was drinking green tea. 
But, as pp said-- it can happen at anytime. The CM stuff is tricky!

I usually get EWCM towards the end of my AF (approx. CD 5-6) and I don't O until about CD19.

I'd suggest checking internally with 2 fingers and seeing how far it stretches.  If it's only a little stretchy, it might not be EWCM.  If it stretches more than a couple inches, it definitely is!

Thank you!  I just like to know that it's not just me!  And now that you all are saying this, I do remember reading in TCOYF that fertile looking CM can occur throughout.

 I much prefer temping!!  At least that's a number and it's something I can record exactly!

This! If you're drinking green tea that'll do it to ya too. EWCM can come and go at any time during your cycle like ecm401 said.
