first preemie paci

When DD was in the nicu her first paci was sooo tiny and I wanted to keep it for her, but one day the cleaning lady threw it away and her nurse had no idea where it came from (which I found weird). I did some research and found that they are called the wee thumbie. Did anyone else's DC have this? Does anyone know where I can find one to buy??

Was it purple?  I have saved a purple preemie paci..... the package says Wee Soothie.  is it that one?

IK have found some on ebay.  wee soothie.  They are purple.  It says they are vanilla scent?  not sure.   Hope you find one.

Oh darn.  I was thinking it was this brand....I thought I had an extra and can't find it right now....  (I was going to send it...) but it sounds like yours is different.  This one is solid purple.  If you ever have a preemie check up/visit, maybe you can ask the unit to give you one as a keepsake?

i just googled to see what they looked like. That is the kind Avery had too, only the purple part was clear on hers. I wanted to keep one so bad and didn't get the chance either.

Call some NICUs around your house. They may be able to get you one. Also I know Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Co has them. You could always try calling there and maybe they could send you one

E had that one but it was all clear.  Then she jumped up to the purple soothie.  Then finally to the green one.  We took all sorts of things from the nicu as mementos.  The nurses made sure we had the first size bp cuff.  The band that held her pulse ox.  I forgot to grab monitor leads and wish I did.  I am still close with our nicu primary so next time I see her I can snag you one if you would like.  At our nicu you could go inot the "supply" room and get things for your baby (warm blankets, paci's ect)  They were just in bins.  Other stuff was locked up though.

Our purple wee soothie got chunked too   and yeah the 8th floor didn't know where it came from.  I am guessing they have all those on the 7th floor.  I have a friend that is a doctor at MH - I've been meaning to ask her to grab me one and I can see if she can grab one for you as well.
