Anyone interested in getting their car seat checked for free?

Thought I'd post this here, since I know there are a lot of expecting moms with carseats waiting to be installed, and parents with young kids who might want to get their seats checked. 

Regions Hospital, in partnership with the Oakdale Fire Department, will host a car seat clinic to promote child passenger safety. During the clinic, Regions technicians will inspect the car seat, provide installation tips and check the car seat for any manufacturer recalls. In addition, information will be provided on how to transport older children. Most older children cannot properly or safely use adult seat belts found in most cars.

What: Car seat clinic, instructing how to correctly install car seats and promoting child passenger safety.

When: Nov. 23, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Where: Oakdale Fire Station, 5000 Hadley Ave, Oakdale

Why: More than 80 percent of child safety seats are improperly installed, according to a Safe Kids USA? study. Correctly used child safety seats decrease the risk of death by 71 percent for infants and 54 percent for toddlers.

oh, is this the seat check that's part of the current class? If so, I won't be there. they have more than enough help from the students they don't ask us to come in.

 

I just have a long list of dates from Diana and Esther, and can never remember which are which.

LOL. It's Christie. (we met when our kiddos were less than a year, at the MOA...it was a long time ago though)

 

I should be at the next regions one. I want to get senior checker during my next certification, and then I want to be an instructor.
