sucking

I EBF and LO loves to suck on anything but has a hard time self soothing. I can tell that she wants something so suck on but can't keep a binky in her mouth. any suggestions?

My DS was the same way, he never really took to a binky much, when he would wake up in the middle of the night,I would guide his thumb to his mouth and after a couple of nights he was able to self soothe back to sleep all on his own.  Now he is almost 10 months and he only sucks his thumb when he needs to self soothe... Hope that helps! We are worried about having a "Thumb-Sucker" but we'll deal with that issue next! He sleeps 10-11 hours at nights, so I'll take it for now!
