Baby Names

While DH was watching football- name of former player caught my ear

ok, I had to google to get the proper spelling because what I heard was so not really what the name is. However, this goes to show when naming a baby you gotta consider how it will be heard in conversation, since alot of people don't enunciate as well as one should.

ok, the name: Phil McConkey (he's some former football player)

say it out loud and see what you hear- enunciate as you normally would speaking.

  • The best I can come up with is "Fill my conkey". Is "conkey" slang for something that I'm not aware of? I'm not really seeing/hearing the issue.
