I thought they would frown on it, but they were so awesome! They said if I attempt a vaginal, I have an 80% chance of succeeding.

My son was stuck in the birth canal and ended up being too big for me to deliver vaginally. This time I am hoping for a slightly smaller baby- if this one measures as big though, I will probably schedule a c-section. I am so excited and nervous already! Cross your fingers that I have a smaller baby- less than 9pds, preferably.

Re: Just found out my OB encourages VBAC!
That's great! Mine does too, and I know that is not common.
Keep in mind, as I am sure you know, that their estimates of birth weight are very often not accurate.
That's awesome!
Keep in mind that those ultrasound weight estimates can be off by a pound or two. Do you know if your first baby was in a weird position? Sometimes when it seems like a baby is too big to fit, it's actually because their head was tilted funny or they were sunny-side up. So if that was the issue with your last birth, it may not have been the baby's size at all, and you may have no problem delivering your next baby.
Good luck and I'm glad that your doctor is so supportive!
