Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Help!

Lucas will not sleep past 5 am!  We have tried earlier bedtimes, later bedtimes, leaving him in his crib until 6...nothing works.  I am starting to feel like I will never want to go out for dinner or a glass of wine again.  I am the type who NEEDS sleep, so I end up going to bed by 9 every single night...earlier during the week when I'm teaching!  Any tips?

Re: Help!

  • I don't have any miracle tips, but I'm in the same boat.  Grady is an early riser, and it's gotten worse since the time change.  Today I went in and gave him his binky at 5, which earned me another twenty minutes.  Then I went in and turned on the seahorse and put a couple of books in the crib, which gave me another ten.  Not great, but every little bit helps, right?
I don't know what's up with my siggy and I am too lazy to figure it out.

  • My DD wakes anywhere from 5-6am and just as she started sleeping more towards 6am for several days we had to change the clocks!  We had a few rough mornings and I think she's getting back to the 5:30-6 wakeups.  Check out this website it has helped me ALOT!! I'm sleeping by 9 and wakeup early to pump....its so hard b/c I need my sleep too!

  • Thanks guys...it helps to know I'm not alone.  I have friends whose babies sleep 12+ hours and I'm soooo jealous.  The time change has definitely NOT helped us either.  I'm just very tired and whiney today!!!!
