What are you asking for for Christmas? DH just asked me what I want and other than one of these (which is a little too $$ this year) I'm at a loss!
What are you wishing for?
wife to joe 2.2.08. mama to noah 9.5.09.
After multiple m/c's, a MTHFR diagnosis and the Lord calling both of our hearts in the same direction, we're adopting! theluckiest
new clothes - basically a shopping trip. i hate what everyone else picks out for me yet i never buy my own clothes. surprised i'm not naked all the time.
we might go together and get a new lens.
new dish towels (but i told him he could tell someone else that)
A Kitchen-Aid stand mixer, boots, clothes, a digital kitchen scale, and some random stuff for the house.
Mom to: Miles (6 year old Maine C00n mix), Boots (5 year old Lab mix), Darla (4 year old GSD/Collie mix), Frankie (1.5 year old DSH mix), Peanut (15 months old - 09/11), and Bean (arriving Feb 2013).
I have no idea. I love surprises but I'm the worst at telling people what I would like. I feel like there's something wrong with that, though, ya know? Like I don't know who I am or something... boo hoo hoo Soyager pity party....
I would probably like a nice dinner out, a trip somewhere, a gift card for a bookstore (maybe a Kindle/Nook?), all my favorite old movies on DVD, a point-n-shoot camera, some kind of art materials (crayons and coloring book would do), a cozy fleece lounge outfit I saw at Eddie Bauer, and maybe some money to do some household stuff.
Some new work pants - a lot of my old ones just don't fit the same post-baby. I also would love some more cast iron cookware. I have a skillet but that's it. Oh, and a yoga ball to sit on at work.
DH and I always just exchange stockings and justify one of the larger items on our list as "our" present to each other. Last year we bought a new table saw for DH as "our" big gift because we needed it and xmas time is a great time to buy one on sale. We are planning on a new camera this year so we have it before LO arrives, but otherwise we just exchange stockings with little stuff. DH usually gets me a book, jujubes (my favorite candy!) and maybe a pair of earrings he would pick up from the Native American craftsmen down in Old Town. I usually find a book for him, razors, and candy. It is simple and sweet and has worked for us.
I try to keep an ongoing list throughout the year and jot stuff done as it comes up so a lot of these are ideas to throw out to family when they ask :-)
Gap GCs, ipod speakers, bigger stockpot, fabric and pinking sheers, starter knitting items, digital thermostat for the house, 2 additional pieces of luggage for our set, money/GC towards a new laptop, minimuffin pans, iceskates (we have a large pond in our backyard and so far I've been borrowing my friends skates), down pillow
Wouldn't it be nice if Santa brought everything on our lists? :-)
I'd like a sewing machine (have stolen MILs ATM!!), a serger, a pinking shears, a shopping trip with someone who will tell me what to buy 'cos I'm rubbish and have no patience, a coat the fits me (I have v.long arms!), a new oven and some new Nike SB Dunks. Not too much to ask for is it?
I really want a gym membership for me and the kids at the gym down the street. It would be great to work out in the super wet winters here and get some time alone while dd plays with other kids.
New clothes after I lose some weight.
Money to take to stitches west )
Babysitter so dh and I could go on a date for the first time in over a year.

wow, this is the most expensive list I have made in years.. maybe ever
Re: Can we be materialistic for a second?
A Sewing machine is #1 on my list.
If possible I'd love new clothes, boots and a new coat. I have a hand me down winter coat from my mom that is about 5 years old now...
We usually don't exchange gifts, so that we cut back on spending.
I want a camera so I emailed my Mom the one I want and I am crossing my fingers lol

Oooo reminds me that I would also like ElloPoppets ruby slippers.
I really want a warm & fuzzy bathrobe, and matching slippers. I also wouldn't object to a new camera, a massage, or some yoga classes.

Yarn spinning lessons, and a "fiber of the month" subscription.
Then he can buy me a spinning wheel for my birthday next year.
