Pulling up

Briley is now pulling up in her crib (as of today).  Not thinking, I put her to bed in a sleep sack tonight.  Fortunately she was tired enough, she did not try to pull up before going to sleep.  But I had a vision of her trying to stand up and falling over because of the sleep sack.  Did anyone stop using them when their baby started pulling up?  Or am I overthinking things?

Re: Pulling up

  • I decided not to put them on her this season because I was afraid of her twisting around & around in it and the sack getting tight around her neck.  I am also crazy, however.

Now that she's pulling up, I would def not put her in it any more...you're not overthinking this one!

  • Hmmm, something I haven't thought of.  K hasn't pulled up in her crib though and can't sit up from laying.

With the temps that this house gets and no sleepsack.  My child might freeze to death in the night.  I will have to use a blanket.

  • I have a Halo sleepsack (not that Mari uses it...) and it has feet holes cut out - what about something like that?  And I remember you telling me it was kind of warm in B's room - so maybe you don't need anything at all?
  • It was warmer than the rest of the house in the summer, now it's colder. We did get her a heater, so I guess it's going to be that and fleece sleepers. I'm sad because we have this nice thick Aden and Anais sleepsack that we have been using for, like, a week. Sad. I tried putting a blanket over her and tucking the sides in the crib but she always gets out from under it.
