Cloth Diapering

What I hate about fitteds...

The prints are SO stinking cute.

And then you have to put a cover over them!!

I'm not going to leave my 4-month-old coverless. But I want the cute print to show off.

Somebody needs to come up with a clear cover. Then I might actually buy a cute fitted.

  • Yeah I think fitteds are cute but I don't have the love for them for that exact reason.

  • I love my fitteds.  Sure they get covered up, and I wish I could show off the cute prints, but they are like pretty panties to me -- you know you are wearing pretty panties, and that's all that counts.  Stick out tongue

  • Or covers that match! :) I have recently caught the fitted bug. I love how squishy they are.

  • I have a white thirsties cover, and you can see the print through it. Not perfectly, but you can.

  • We use fitteds around the house coverless all the time just because of the prints. :)

  • I felt the same as you and still do to some extent.  BUT, if you invest in quality fitteds, you can go coverless around the house.  That's what we do.  We mostly use Goodmama fitteds and pair them with Babylegs and a shirt and that's what he wears every evening and on the weekends when we're at home.  Sometimes, he even goes coverless if I change his diaper before we go out and know we won't be gone that long.  GMs don't soak through very fast for us at all.  For daycare I send AIOs or pockets just for the DCP's convenience, but we don't use them at all other than sending them there.  I didn't think I had love for fitteds.....until I bought them!  :)

  • I think many of us said the same thing...until we just took "one hit"  ;)

I think fitteds would still catch on even if they were all solid white, since they do a good job a lot of time with overnights + airing out with wool, etc.  The pattern is just the icing on the cake!
