It's me again...still living in limbo, not knowing if my pregnancy is viable. My HcG levels are still slowly climbing, doubling about once a week. They pregnancy is in my uterus, so we are no longer worried about ectopic so I am waiting it out. My GS is growing, but still no signs of a fetal pole or yolk. I am now measuring about 6.5 weeks. But until Saturday, I felt great. Then I started having mild cramping and a brown discharge. The cramping went away yesterday, but I am still having the brown discharge. It is pretty light and has not increased. I don't know if this means I am close to miscarrying naturally.
Also, and I know this is TMI, but there is an odor to the discharge. I am sensitive to smells, but this also worries me. I have another follow up appointment on Monday.
Re: How long after spotting did you miscarry?
I started spotting on a Sunday, and had my first major bleeding episode on Tuesday, and three more major bleeds/cramping on that Wednesday and Thursday and Friday.
Good luck with your appointment on Monday. Hope the spotting is not a sign of misscarriage for you.
Thank you. I am still hoping but it gets harder every week. It has been a month now. My HcG is rising so slow, and my progesterone dropped from almost 30 to 5. I keep trying to hope for a miracle, but it is getting harder to do so.
I do not want to do a D&C until I know 100% it is not viable. But I only have about 2 more weeks that I will be able to get a few days off of work, then I will have a hard time getting days off. We start our annual sale, which is my busiest time of the year financially, and one of my coworkers is going to Korea for 3 months and we will be short staffed. I know I can get the time off if I have to, but it will be a big problem for my bosses.
Work is the last thing I want to worry about right now. I just want to remain pregnant. But if I lose the baby, I will not want to be going into work and trying to be happy and outgoing while we are busy.
Have you seen an embryo or heartbeat?
It kinda sounds like what I was diagnosed with. A Blighted Ovum. I had a sac and my body thought I was pregnant. My uterus and sac kept growing along with lots of PG symptoms but there was nothing in it. Did your doctor tell you there is a chance that it is viable or there was an embryo?
EDIT - my brown DC with a pink under tone was only once and a little mucus with a little red the next day. That was it. But I did have pretty mild cramps persistant.
I hope it works out for you! T&P

This was pretty much my situation.
I am sorry that you ladies went through the same thing.
The doctor said he believed it was a blighted ovum. Although my LMP would make me about 9 weeks, I am very irregular, so he was waiting one more week to make a solid decision, since I was measuring about 6 weeks. It does make me feel better that it is likely a blighted ovum, rather than ectopic. At least I feel more confident that it is not going to affect my future fertility as an ectopic can increase that risk.
